Confidentiality is paramount for you and for us!
Confidentiality is important to you. You do not want your problems revealed to anyone not involved in helping you pursue your claim. We treat your privacy very seriously. Your documents will first be stripped of all personal details and then only be sent to the experts having the necessary specialisms. Each expert is a specialist in his/her field as a surgeon, doctor, nurse or any other health care professional. Even if they were to identify you later from press reports of your success in court, everyone is bound by professional duties of confidentiality (in exactly the same way as attorneys). In any event, we have every professional we work with sign a nondisclosure agreement. To clarify, this protects both sides. Not only will they say nothing about the cases they work on, we will also not reveal their names except in certain very limited circumstances. Why? If they stay anonymous, they will not be victimized by colleagues or organizations for doing too good a job in identifying malpractice and negligence.
Trust? You can keep everything confidential!
When it comes to the internet, there can be trust issues. Who are we? Are we legitimate? Could we abuse the information you send us in some way? This is not the same as walking into an office in the real world. If you can look around and talk with the people, you can get a feel for whether they are trustworthy. But one internet site looks like another, and there is little way to judge whether one is real or fake. If you do decide to trust us, you can send us all the documents as they are. We will remove all the information that could be used to identify people and places before they are sent out to our medical experts. But, if you are worried, you can protect yourself. We do not need the names of any health care professionals involved, nor the names of the hospital and/or clinic, or their locations, etc. In fact we do not need your name on any documents! What to do? Make a list of all the names and places involved in your claim and code them as: Doctor A, Surgeon B, Hospital C, etc. Before you scan the documents, photocopy them and use a black highlighter to remove all references. Now write above each blacked out name the code name you have chosen. Now scan, save the pages as a .pdf and send the electronic file to us. That way, every name is made anonymous and you are the only one with the code. Do not forget, we only need the facts in the documents so we can say: Doctor A was negligent in not treating you in time, etc. Remember, our aim is to uncover as many faults as possible to make your case as strong as possible and your compensation as high as possible. But we only get paid if you win your case. That means you are protected. You only pay us when we have proved our worth and you have the money. Do you need any of our experts to be registered in your state or country? No. Our experts do not appear in court on your behalf and so do not need to be registered in your state. Once the report is done, your attorney will pick a locally-registered expert to take the case forward. Because of our report, your lawyer will have a detailed understanding of all the malpractice and negligence issues involved. It will be easy to instruct a local expert. If your lawyer does need further help from us, we are committed to your case. That means we will review reports prepared by local experts, whether for your attorney or for the defense. We are prepared to offer continuing advice on both the detail of the medical evidence and general strategy. In all your dealing with us, you can use your coding to keep anonymity. Because our report and our experts are not appearing in court, our experts do not need to know who is involved! Once your case is over, we will archive the file in accordance with our documents retention policy. Once the statutory period of limitations has expired, we will destroy all records. This is the ultimate in confidentiality! Everything is under your control! As an aside, there is medical evidence to show that if you personally remove all the information about the people you blame for your injuries, this helps you to start being less emotional about it all. The more you focus on remembering the people, emotion can cloud your memory of events. Once you see only the facts, it clears the mind and improves your memory of details. This can be your first step towards emotional healing. A process that is completed when you get a fair amount of compensation for the injuries you have suffered.
